          Herby Widmaïer died Thursday morning at his private residence, at the age of 84 years.

          Founder of Radio Métropole in March 1970, with the help of his wife Micheline Widmaïer, Roland Dupoux and Bob Lemoine, Herby Widmaïer was a legendary figure of radio in Haiti "With him the country lost one of its great sons."

          President Jovenel Moïse :
          "The President of the Republic, Jovenel Moses, learned with sadness the news of the death, of Herby Widmaïer, an emblematic figure of the broadcasting and the music in Haiti.
