          Lee, was born in Monroeville, Alabama on April 26, 1926She was the youngest of three children of Amasa Coleman and Frances Finch Lee

          3 Lee attended the University of Alabama, where she studied Law
          Lee left school one semester short of graduating to move to New York and to pursue her dream of writing.

          4 After some time Lee submitted a number of short stories to a literary agent.

          The agent liked one of the stories and encouraged Lee to expand on it.

          5 Eventually Lee’s short story was lengthened into a novel called, To Kill a Mockingbird.
