I got to know Oscar de la Renta when I was still a child. My mum used to have the original Oscar.
She wore it at parties. I remember my dad coming home with it to her as a present after being away for work for a month. He had bought a huge bottle, and looking at the year of release he must have given it to her in 1977 or 1978, when it was fairly new.
